Character's History:

Yang is the "pet" of Erik, or better "herding dog" of him, Yang is a Gampeo, a middle dog-sized creature with a newt like tail, beak and web between the paw toes, they are excellent swimmers and normally live near the sea or in lakes or rivers, but not Yang, he lives in the most dry area of Therpa together with Erik. Hunters caught his family near the Anapa river when he was still a baby, killed them all except him, they traveled with him back to the big settling near the Geru desert, to have a fresh snack they kept him alive. Back there Erik, being hungry himself, could use a common trick and won the bag with the expected snack with a winning bag, but instead of something to eat, Yang was in there. Erik couldn't kill resp. eat the little tuft and since he was a Tamakil (Slave) himself he was only authorized to keep Yang if he helps with the work on the farm and so Erik taught Yang to be a herding dog for the bigger animals on the farm.
